Kudos to Bear_Music for the idea of the crop...

Post Challenge: Thanks for all the great comments during and after voting. This fine animal (and three others just like it) live down the road from me. They are seem to be incredibly passive animals and a delight to view and watch and photograph. This fellow was shot during a lovely ice storm on my way to work one morning. The little four animal herd didn't seem really much to mind the icy rain...not that they really could do much about it...

Here is a more standard crop of the same photo

Perfect DOF. Nicely shot and I love how the crop gave us an even closer, more personal view.

I've had a couple good finishes with these animals as well: 10th and 11th. Sadly, mine aren't around anymore; they've moved off-cape. People seem to like these whimsical beasts.

I like your shot the best of these 3 :-) How about showing people the original version, so they can see why you cropped to one horn?

I like how you composed this, and captured it in rain/snow to add movement to the still scene.

Fabulously sharp, great exposure - such a shame that one horn is cut off. One of my absolute favourites in this challenge.

Well ... wet hair, anyway. Hardly his fault that he didn't have a nice climate-controlled place to retire to. Great detail here, and his eyes look like he's pleading for refuge.

Your Detail is super! Your crop very interesting! Tack Sharp! I just can't find anything to fault this picutre! It grabed my eye from the thumb nail and didn't disappoint when I opened it!
