Challenge: Lonely Shoes In Black and White (Basic Editing)

Thank you so much everyone! I really didn't expect this. As you can read from a couple of commenters, it lacks the 'lonely' part...but what I was trying to achieve with the imagery was how you blend in with the crowd till we cannot see you anymore. We sometimes feel like no one can see us, but we are there.

The pic was taken in windowlight, handheld, with my daughter's shoes and my shirt. It took 15 minutes to get the right shot and 15 to edit.

Yay! Two ribbons in 2011!

I had this as my top pick int he challenge. Pops great when opened. And to be honest i was waiting for the shoe to drop on the red ribbon as well (pun intended). Gets me one extra ribbon ahead of Oliver. ;)

Looking at the previous Red Ribbon entry, I had a feeling this was going to happen.

Congrats on your ribbon! Yipppeee!

ETA: May I please respectfully add that if you'd cropped this where the upper right two-thirds were showing (so the left third and bottom third are gone)... and the labels of the shoes were gone, I think it would have seemed more 'lonely' and been more camoflauged. I love it, but the parts that get my attention whenever I look at this image, are the insides of the shoes... (since the rest are well cammo'd.)

I do realize that I'm suggesting to the master... but... there I am. *sigh*

*grin*

Gorgeous show, a real eye pleaser, and will most certainly do well, and possibly even ribbon. At the very least on the front page. But I am not seeing how these are "lonely" shoes. Eye candy with no emotion for me.

Heh, heh. Great Camo, but it jumps right out at me. Easily one of the best in the challenge.
