 I have wanted to do a bean spill photo for quite some time. But until now, I didn't really have a reason for it. I paid attention to details quite a bit on this shot (partly due to Basic Editing rules, partly due to getting it right). My first attempted used soft box which lit things well, but the white bottom and background was boring.

So I moved it to the kitchen table, and bought a piece of scrap linoleum flooring up from the basement to create the background. To light this I had a strobe on a wireless trigger pointing back at the camera (and up). I used a 5-in-1 reflector with the gold side to reflect back the light with a soft morning-like tone to it.

Post Processing:
* Crop
* White Balance
* Decrease exposure but increase brightness
* Increase black point
* Increase definition
* Increase saturation with lower vibrancy
* S-curve
* Highlights and shadows
* Black and white conversion
* Sepia Tone
* Export to TIFF
* Resize to 800px
* Sharpen Edges
* Save as JPEG

I like that I can see detail in the beans in the front...but I think this needs to go back further into the bag, your field of focus is a little to narrow IMO
