Well, I decided to do this type of photo due to my girlfriends excitement for it. I tried to follow the original as best I could and knew that I wasn't going to get it exactly for the lack of the right equipment. This was a tricky shot to do. I have to give her alot of credit since she was getting really cramped and stiff from this pose. Not an easy pose by any means. I tried it myself to see how hard it was. After about 40 out takes for this shot. I got it about as close as I could.

Now it is in voting. I was extremely excited to see it with 2 votes at a 8. lol. By the time it hit 20 votes it was at about 6.7. I was still very excited. I haven't been doing photography for that long and only been on this site for about 4 months. So anything over a 6 would be more than satisfying. Now it is down to a 5.8 :(
Oh well, I'm still happy with that and I am thankful for all your great comments and votes.
Thank you all!

Ouch for the 12 1's that I got. Was it really that bad to deserve a 1?

I gave this a 7. A beautiful rendition of Weston with an old world charm to it. I was a little distracted by the door and towel or I would have scored it higher. Don't be detered by the kneejerk prudes. Keep up the good work.

This got a 9 from me, I thought it was so beautiful and so true to Weston's style! Should have placed way higher IMO! Great job!

I didn't vote in this challenge, but completely agree with Robert's comment and share your obvious frustration. Anyone who's ever examined Weston's shots realises that nudes were a significant part of his body of work. So for folks to vote in this challenge and then dole out 1s to nude shots is plainly idiotic IMO. Without the 1s you'd have finished with a 6+ score, which is what this shot deserved.

ETA: Glad to see the ridiculous 1s removed with the recalculation of votes. That's helped your score somewhat. :)

the 12 1's are presumably the nude-haters. All the nudes that finished above you got exactly 12 1's... I was one of your 10's. Totally one of the most faithful Weston images in the challenge. Original? No... But you nailed the tonalities to perfection.

Beautiful homage to a specific photo! Even before looking back at the reference shot the door bothered me. At first I thought it was too close; but looking at the Weston I think it's just too bright. In his shot the verticals of the model's form are not interfered with by the door. I think you only notice it on a second or closer look. You captured wonderful form with your model, but the door is in the way and detracts in my opinion. Also, if anything is sharply in focus, it seems to me that it's the grain in the center of the door panel and possibly the back of the towel trim. I think Weston would have the whole model in perfect focus.

Wow! This is sooo close to the original I actually thought this was Edward's at first. Well done (back to comment and bump)

Although the nude itself is nice, I find the towel and door distracting. (not voting)

Grrr, the best of the nudes, the lighting and processing is spot on, and you include a four panel hollow core door as a major element? you absolutely nailed that marble like skin tone that Weston got and my eye gets pulled away by raised panels and rumpled terrycloth. Oh for a better background and it would have ribboned.

I like your exposure and processing. Everything seems perfectly balanced and in harmony.

This is a tough one to emulate, since it's so famous. Your version's door is a bit heavy in the frame, I think, and is quite possibly even more contrasty than the original. But this is an impressive homage, I must say, right down to the bobby pins! Congratulations on that.

Great shot--I wish you could have done this somewhere besides a doorway though, it's kind of distracting.
