 Two Canon 580EX II speedlight flashes were used in this. One in a softbox hitting her from right and one for rim-lighting (hitting her back). A giant reflector was used on the left for fill.

I love the Pocketwizard FlexTT5's (except when they don't work :) ) because they allow you to shoot at the highest shutter speed that is allowed by your camera (1/8000 sec in Canon 5D Mark II case) without having a dark line in the botton of your photograph. You are no longer limited by the 1/200sec shutter speed when using them. As you can see my shutter speed here was 1/5000 sec with 2 off-camera flashes firing.

The blur is due to the shallow depth of field (f/1.2) which was achieved by design. It is not a motion blur.

Was this comment really necessary? :) I have noticed that you show a certain reaction to pictures with borders and not so attractive titles. If borders are what ruin a picture for you, then you probably consider many pictures on DPC ruined since so many people use them.

Good, but the right arm and hand are blurred (insufficient depth of field or 'slow' shutter speed?).
