A very windy day in the high country. Hallet's Peak and Flattop Mountain as seen from Hollowell Park.

Also called Foehn Winds.

Outtake from the northern mountain range:

Used my 200mm lens for this challenge submission, rather than the 135mm lens used in . About the same spot and angle, but afternoon shot, rather than morning.

Oh how I love those peaks. The angle makes them look even more dramatic and powerful! Niiiiice job.

Lovely processing, Richard, as well as great scenery. I lived in Calgary back in the 1970s and was fascinated by the Chinook winds, with the prominent arch of stratus clouds and the sudden rise in temperatures we would get for a day or two.

Hello, neighbor! I'm pleased to see I'm keeping such good company, me by the sea and you in your beloved mountains. I'm also pleased to see the SEP2 border styles gaining top-10 acceptance. Very nice shot, well done!

Great contrasts with a kind of Ansel Adams feel. :)

Looks like Mr. Adams may have been drinking.
