I couldn't say why but I really like this image. The lighting is amazing.

Congratulations on the Juried selection. I loved this image and scored it high during voting. I was surprised that I did not comment on it at the time -- I guess I was too hurried. I recall lingering on it for the longest time -- a testament to how fascinating it was to me. While I always seem to be rushing to the next task on the list, your photograph stopped me in my tracks. Beautiful job.

A very powerful photograph yet speaks softly, I guess I'd say. Something about hope that's all shiny when new yet becomes muted, grayed, a bit lifeless and dull when worn down and trod upon. Very well done.

A so-so score but some wonderful comments. I like shots that leave the viewer asking questions and you've achieved this. Nicely done!

This is so brilliant and clearly underappreciated. You got an 8 from me.

I spent a lot of time looking at your photo this week, unable to put into words what I like about it. For me, it's all about "state"...state of the room at a moment in time, state of mind, state of the light coming in through the window and how it highlights the state of the room. It's as though you've given me a strong memory of a place that I've never actually been to.

love the use of natural light. What a curious scene. I love looking around the room to see what's in there. Too bad no one is watching the Pres! :)

That's very good indeed. The blathering 'Bama, the radiant portal to somewhere else, and the extravagant crucifix. A classic modern American holy trinity, and a very fine contemporary art photograph. 8. Thank you.

Very classic composition, from the urban masters. Lovely lingering abandonment feel.

Is that hot air blowing the curtain?

Very Bill Owens. Its just a snap shot. Its a carefully composed rumination on the comparisons of domestic politics and marital life.
It gives us a voyeurs glimpse into the life of a stranger. It also works as a pure study of light and reflection on various textures, while manging a wide variety of tones without either end falling off the table.

In short it is a very nice entry, which I suspect is subtle enough to be overlooked.

TV's filling an empty room with sight and sound are a weakness of mine. This is great.

Wow. You have really captured something beyond an image, here. When this opened on my screen, I actually felt an impact on my chest, as thought the breeze agitating the curtains was informing my soul of something very important and clearly forgotten. For me, the image on the TV is the only detracting element.

Interesting and thoughtful. I can see this hanging in a gallery. Perfect title. I hate to admit this, but when it first popped up, I thought that was Hitler! ROFL I had to put on my glasses to tell it was President Obama. This isn't slick and overly contrived like so many of the entries. I quite think it fits into the fine arts category nicely. 7
