This is an orange sunflower that I found in the local grocery store. I mounted my 100mm macro on the Kenko Extension Tubes which give you 1.6 times larger image. Here are the extension tubes I used for this shot:

Kenko Auto Extension Tube Set

Some have asked how I got a nice and round water drop like this. One way to get that is to use a Syringe. Very slowly push and gently place the water drop on your subject. It works! The Syringe I used for this is one of those curved tip ones that can be found here:

Syringe

I lit this with a speedlight flash in a medium-sized softbox from right. You can see the reflection of my softbox in the waterdrop.

Woohoo, a new high for the Canon EF 100mm f/2.8L Macro IS USM lens!

Thank you, Janine! I used all 3 extension tubes hooked up together. I always take the lens hood off when I use these tubes because when I use the tubes I get even closer to my subject that I normally would. It takes some time getting used to them and in my experience a little harder to focus with them on than without them, but they provide amazing results on tiny subjects.

Ooooh .. nice, nice !!
my 2 cents: maybe could have been better if it was cropped to show more of the droplet and just the petal that its resting on ?

How do you get such a perfect globule, btw ?
