 Taken with sigma 70-300 apo in macro mode. Not a true macro lens but it`s great for the money.

The focus, DOF and clarity are great, but the composition is a bit right-sided. Maintaining the wing in the frame on the left produced negative space that make it appear to be moving out of the scene. More negative space on the right would have helped I think.

one of the better bee shots. i realize that you are working with a very shallow dof and can only get one or the other, but i wish the eye was as in focus as the wing. the detail in the wing is amazing.

Great photo buy my eyes keep moving towards the insects eyes yet the focal point is the wing. Its good to see a diferent approach,. I just don't think it works too well with this photo. You'll still do much better than me I'm sure.

good shot, try and remember to focus on the eye next time, your focus is on the wing. Little bright on flower, but you are close : )
