the severely-pooched out lower lip looks more cartoony than sad. A less forced expression and one that came more from the eyes would be far more powerful.

Very pretty little girl and I love her eyes. She looks sad but I don't see the usual tears welling up which is the first give away with my granddaughter. Looks a bit posed. Good luck.
