A nice macro with sharp focus and good color. Rotating the image to an angle or cropping off-center might make it a little more dynamic. I assume others have mentioned the unnecessary border. |

Good detail, would have prefered the edging not have been misted out. |

JUST enough shallow depth of field to highlight the subject. Great detail and colours. I like the border too. weel done |

Very good macro pic. Great depth of field, and i like the softening effect of the framing. Great job. |

i feel that the faded border draws attention away from your picture, and distracts the viewer away from the subjet. |

I really love the sharp focus on the spines. Terrific. Having said that, they seem to be the only things in sharg focus. Would a little deeper DOF have hurt? The border dampens my enthusiasm for the photo. |

I don't know what size these are normally, but because the color and composition are so lovely, i'm not going to worry about it. This is a stunning photo to me. |

These types of shots sometimes are helped by bracketing your depth of field (aperture) so the foreground is nice and crisp and the background gets fuzzy and less distracting. Lovely colors in this image; border could be smaller... |
