William Butler Yeats (1865-1939)
When You Are Old

When you are old and gray and full of sleep,
And nodding by the fire, take down this book,
And slowly read, and dream of the soft look
Your eyes had once, and of their shadows deep;

How many loved your moments of glad grace,
And loved your beauty with love false or true,
But one man loved the pilgrim soul in you,
And loved the sorrows of your changing face;

And bending down beside the glowing bars,
Murmur, a little sadly, how Love fled
And paced upon the mountains overhead
And hid his face among a crowd of stars.

I love this... and am happy I found your new profile name since it has been a bit since I have been on DPC. I also love that your Avg Vote Received is 5.8195. Why?? Because it really shows that your score on DPC really has little truth in how amazing of a photographer you are or could be. Thanks for being an inspiration.

I think there's a pill for that. Don't let it go untreated!

It's about Maud Gonne. He just could not get over that woman.

Another beautiful pinhole. Sad poem, the superhero in all of us passing out of the frame at the bottom, leaving only memories.

I like this one. I can picture this as a cover for some obscure metal band.

you are correct... right now, especially. We all need to be crusaders.
Excellent post.

Eerily like a superhero. Expanding our perceptual horizons.

It is hard to vote on something when you do not understand it. It took a bit of research to know what you were going for. Sorry, just not much of a reader ;) I had a hard time on this one.

Perhaps. Or perhaps it is a being from that other dimension, who appear on those rare occasions when our ethers rub together.
