Wow I never knew snails could be beautiful! Lovely sparkle in his body. I wonder if it would look better flipped 180 degrees so his head is toward the top.

Thanks for the comments, I think the direct flash spoilt this slightly but as said it would have been difficult to remedy.

Good square crop. Too bad about that little bit of brown on that leaf tip, but excellent work nonetheless. Lighting a tad harsh on his shell.

very good. the texture in the snail is really nice. one of the better shots this challenge. the only downside is the glare is a little strong on the shell.

I love those little critters. I feel this image might be stronger if you cropped out a good portion of the right and upper section of the pic. Still very crisp. Jacko. 8

love everything but the hotspots and the centered focus. maybe if you had cropped from the right.
