 In just over 3 months my wife and I will have our first child, a baby boy! When it came time to find props for this challenge, I knew i had a number of light colored objects to choose from. Turned out that the way these shoes had soft contours, it seemed to work well with the white background.

I set these up in my home made light tent. I had a lamp on the right and left of the tent. I also had two lamps pointed at the wall behind the tent to reflect some light into the background. I then setup a bare flash to bounce off the ceiling of the tent. I put a mini soft box on another flash just to the left of the camera that was pointed straight down into the left of the scene (to spill light onto the shoes without blowing highlights).

Th exposure in this shot is done well, but I think the composition is too centered and symmetrical for me.

i like the simplicity of the shot - maybe a bit 'too bright' but i like the shot!
