Thanks for the constructive comments. I went with this one becuse I happend to like the way the light bottom and dark top balance eachother. I was expecting more it's underexposed comments than I got though.

I only had one light source, a difused flash. The picture was taken in the reflection of a mirror.

The unequal inner black border really detracts from this otherwise nice shot. I also find that the white border is way too wide.

Nice focus, but I would have preferred the upper portion of the eye to be brighter. White paper held under the eye to bounce the light onto it would have been enough.

Nice image, well focused and captured. It is not as dramatic and another image with a similar subject. Desaturation may be part of the difference. composition may be another.

Absolute perfect focus and stunning detail. Three light sources? The extra wide two-tone border doesn't work for me. Althoough this is probably a common choice for macro - it should do very well indeed.
