 I had to enter something, lol.

I am not entirely sure why this came out so awful. It looked great on the LCD. I uploaded it, and it looked terrible. I have all matter of junk stuck behind my camera lens due to carrying the camera around while working with horses. Oh well.. I was never in line to be a pro anyways.

You have picked very difficult lighting for this shot. For the scene to look good you really need to work with HDR software and bracketed images at different exposures. Unfortunately good photos are often as much dependent on post-processing as on what comes out of the camera. If the sun hadn't been in the picture you wouldn't have had all that glare and this would have come out much better.

Don't be discouraged by the way this looks. You're at the beginning of a great adventure and you will learn from your mistakes.

Great scene. It's super hard to get a nice exposure with the sun like this, but I'm sure it looks awesome at sunset!
