I found this velvet fabric in our basement. I like the way it looks in the light. On a quick trip to the grocery store I picked up some granny smiths and a few pears. I threw in my wife's green antique cake plate. I should have started earlier because my light was fading fast. This was a 30 second exposure. All in all I think it fits the challenge but may not be interesting enough to score well.

A very lovely and nostalgic still life - a reminder of sunny childhood days spent at an old dear aunt house ....

Lovely still life, although there is an odd green cast to everything.

Although a very simple-looking photograph, the lighting is gorgeous and I really like how you used it to draw extra attention to the apple and two pears.

This is a good shot and I like the still life idea. You got great colors and it has a very old style or vintage feel. The shot taken from above is ok except for two things. First the composition. It is off center and not really in the third of the frame. I would have gone square crop on this one. Second is the light. The brightest part of the light misses the center of the subject. It is too the right of the subject. which moves the focal point of the shot off of the subject.

Love this comp, the crumpled up fabric adds to it.
