Looking at it again I realized this was taken from the north of the Buttes, so more likely taken from Greylodge, or somewhere in that vicinity.

This looks like it was taken from the Sutter Wildlife Refuge. I was there a couple of weeks ago and took a very similar shot myself, but didn't think of it for this challenge.

You were absolutely right about my entry - it was taken from the Skyway Overlook.
