I spent many hours researching screws and balls for this photo. And then all those hours organizing my balls.

Hence the extensive research! I did get to read a poem I had never seen, nor did I know the author (William Henley). Ha! Anyway, from the poem:

 
OUT of the night that covers me,  
  Black as the Pit from pole to pole,  
I thank whatever gods may be  
  For my unconquerable soul.

With all of those eyes watching the bold screw, you didn't need a title, but ridiculous and pretentious is fun.

An impressive still life. I had to go read the poem to get the full effect; regardless, I get a strong sense of a desire to rise above the anonymity/oppression of life. Screw it all. ;)
