Yes, the stars ARE different colors. Color relates to size, surface temperature and the age of a star. In the brightest of stars, you can see with your eyes they are different colors. In the winter (northern hemisphere), Betelgeuse in Orion is red. Sirius, next to Orion is blue (for example). In the summer, there is Arcturus (red) and Vega (blue). You can see Arcturus as the brightest star just past overhead at sunset this month (In US / Europe / Japan).

Judi! Beautiful, of course.

Some one of these days, PLEASE do the Southern Cross.

It's a constellation that I think many would love to see. to you, it's 'old news' but while we get the big and little dippers, that is a star arrangement that is amazing.

Very nice.. Hey maybe you can answer this question, I recently did a star trail pic, and my stars are all diff colors like yours, Why? Are stars really different colors?
