I started with reviewing my oldest entries and working my way forward, looking for an entry with most of the comments offering observations or suggestions for improvement or changes.

Original entry:

Used a thorny branch instead of razor wire to make it more organic, and a dead Bird of Paradise flower to make it not so "cheerful" as the original (the theme for which was Despair) ... the "tear" (dried, oozing sap -- completely natural) made me decide to repeat this image rather than a couple of others I was considering.

-Handheld, manual mode
-A little local Dodge, Burn, Sharpening, and Cloning to touch up the thorns and sap
-RGB Curve
-Blue/Yellow Curve
-Crop a little from bottom and left
-Resize
-USM at 66%/0.6 dia/TH - 5 (applied three times)
-SaveAs JPEG at quality 9/10 = 265KB

I like the way you replaced the razor wire with thorns. The dying flower would have worked well in the Despair challenge too. Good improvement!

To me, this plant looks like a pterodactyl with a bad hairdo. Do what you will with that information :)
