No artificial lighting, just a large window behind me.

This may be my favourite shot I've ever taken...

Just before rollover:

This didn't do as well as I hoped it might. I think it may be one of the best images I have made.

It did well at 1x.com though - it got published and into the most popular images set at the top of the page. A first for me.

Wow. This is absolutely stunning. EVERYTHING about this shot is perfect. It's beyond me that it only scored 6.4!

What gorgeous light. Masterful composition, and I particularly like the the hair wrapping around her wrist. Gives it a very subtle sense of serenity, likely the source of her ability to melt into the lens.

This is a beautiful piece of art. I have been visiting it and thinking about it since I saw it mentioned in the 1x thread. Exquisite use of light and form. It does, in a way, make me a bit sad on a personal level. Not only could I most likely never "see" how to shoot something like this, but I also realized (after watching too many episodes of a silly TV show) that the beauty of the model is integral to art like this. A shot like this, no matter how expertly lit or framed, would never see the light of day with someone like me as the model. Very selfish and silly, I know. :-) But it does make me envious, not just of your skill but of her light. She truly is gorgeous and you've done well by her.

This is such a good shot Paul, the fact that you only used natural light makes this hauntingly realistic and totally breathtaking.

This is STUNNING, SUPERB, SUBLIME--beautiful light, compostion, treatment, pose, model, eye contact. Everything is perfect. 10 only because the scale doesn't go higher.

Hello Paul, need someone to hold your reflectors? Super work mate. I have to re-floor my studio...I'm electing to go with old knotty pine...

Beautifully posed and lit. I love how you brought out the texture in her skin.

The skin tones in her face don't match the skin tones in her body.

I had a feeling this was yours Paul. I wonder if a BW version would score higher. Very well done as always. NVFM

Excellent shot! I think a crop on the left hand side to make the eyes fit more on the left third and this would be perfect. still get a 7 from me.
