Beneath the halo of a street lamp, I turned my collar to the cold and damp.

Nice shot. Good viewpoint and cropping. Slightly overexposed if anything at all.

could it be the outside wall of a prison?

Gives you the feeling of the title of the photograph.

The brick buildings, paving stones lighting and the curve in the distance build a great mood. All it needs is a silhouetted erson a little this side of the lamp post and you'd have you a 10. Looks kind of empty without the restless dreamer, though.

narrow streets of cobblestone...whispered in the sound of silence.
Nice poetic shot..b&w makes it.

It has a good feel to it, but it seems a bit crooked? Still a good effort.

As a fan of "lonely" shots and that isolated feel, your image works for me. A great response to the challenge, and a lovely choice of title. Long live S&G!

Such memories of childhood in this photograph I can almost see the ladies in headscarves hiding curlers scrubbing steps with hot buckets of water, a feeling of yester year! Lovely!

the picture could have done with more contrast, ie more darkened levels, so the shadows and tiles would show more textures
