Thanks to the unwavering efforts of Bergiekat I was able to retrieve my original RAW file from my Compact Flash Card. And completely FREE too.
For anyone else who might ever have this problem or needs to retrieve data from their memory card here is the link and easy to follow instructions.
Hi again Kat,
I downloaded the Photo Rescue package and it's really FREE. I found a super instruction on how to use it here:
//screwfilms.blogspot.com/2010/06/free-cf-card-data-recovery-in-os-x.html
It works simple and easy recovering all my ORF files from my Compact Flash Memory Card.
Thanks so much again Kat.
You are my saviour
Fred

I was in Minnesota when this one was going on -- so I wasn't able to vote or keep up with this very well (my husband had to do all the searching for my original once I realized that it was lost). The combination of being able to see inside and the reflection as well is just fascinating. Beautifully done!

You also leveraged an aspect of Jagar's street imagas that I love so much... and tendency to form two or three images in one frame. I'm referring to the textured wall gives the scene an imaginary context...very little structures like this in LA/OC. Certainly the people have a lot to say...my favorite is the far left woman, peaking over her mug...I like to think she caught you.

finely done, Fred. Like the way you include, as framework, the texture/pattern of the building stone.

Sorry about the impending DQ. I read the thread at the time, but know nothing of Mac's so couldn't contribute anything. Wonderful image, I gave it an 8 in voting. Congrats on the great score & HM even if it won't last long.

Thanks for looking in everyone. I just feel sad that my image is to be DQ'd soon because I lost the original RAW file through a very unfortunate mishap. It's pretty rare for any of my images to score so well that it ends up in the top5 and that makes it even more unfortunate that when I do have one I loose the RAW file and get a DQ. I was actually holding thumbs that it would not score so high and fall out of the top 5 so I would not have needed to verify.

Congrats on the HM, Fred! Lovely ambiguity of depth/planes in this image. It's very well made.

Love the reflections - as Paul notes, it adds depth. Nicely seen and very good finish.

Nicely seen, nicely made. I like how this is flat and deep at the same time.

While the moment you captured isn't decisive (i.e. jagar's was better), I do like the fact that you took the challenge theme and tried to create a photograph around it rather than simply regurgitate the theme back to the viewer in a shiny package. Unfortunately the latter is what does better here (i.e. the stock photography mentality) but as someone who isn't here to buy stock photos, just enjoy compelling photographs I can appreciate yours far more.

I'll comment again and congratulate you on a strong finish. I gave it an 8 and it's one of my favorites in the challenge. I think it should have received a ribbon.

I quite liked this during voting. It is nice to see the desat work and not the typical intense colors usually used. This had it all...reflections, fun subject matter (three "hot" babes) and your post process work. Happy that is did so well for you!! Keep up the good work.
