I don't care if they're original or not. I love lonely tree shots. I don't think I'll ever get tired of them. Congrats on the HM!

@sk8t969 critique is always welcome and an important part of this community. One of the reasons I like DPC. It always brings a new perspective to the own perception. Thanks for all of the comments.

I'm more used to commenting on flickr so i'm not sure how criticisms or suggestions may be taken on dpc, especially from total amateurs like myself. But I like this photo even more when I scroll down a bit and lose some of that sky, about a 1/3rd sky 2/3rd's grass composition really increases the distant feeling to me. Nevertheless this is an awesome photo, congrats on the placement.

I really like the leading lines in both the sky and field. The single tree dead center works very well! ETA: back to bump to 9.

Great focal point. Love the lines the straw makes leading to the tree on the horizon. Great earthy colors. Gotta be front page.

Looks like all of his friends left him; lonely indeed. I like the different swatches of colors here.

The lines leading to the tree give a feeling of distance. Well done.

Symmetry that works. The colors are saturated but without going over the top.

This is the exact image I envisioned in my head. It is wonderful. Love the centered tree. This might be cool in a sepia as well. :) Nice going. You managed to pull off what I was thinking. You get an extra point for clairvoyance. LOL It's my fav after a 2nd sweep. Ok, 10 :)
