My son had his wisdom teeth yanked out a few days ago. I was surprised when he brought the teeth home in a small bag. I looked at them and thought hmmm... I have no macro lens for my dSLR so I did not enter the recent bug challenge. Then, I remembered the macro setting on my old Canon G6. At the local community garden I found an colorful dead leaf to put them on. I think the teeth are interesting and I like the colors in the leaf.

Teeth on a rotting leaf ... not something I would think to put together. But you did, and I'm finding it fascinating.

This is nicely executed and effectively repulsive. (Art doesn't have to be pretty.) But, I'm finding it difficult to comprehend the connection between the teeth and the leaf except to provide some shock value. A 6 from me but could have been better I think.

Disturbing subject. Beautiful photo. Wonderful textures and soft light.

Interesting choice of subjects. I'm surprised at the just off center composition. It seems to make the natural lines and movement to this photo come to an abrupt halt.

Very esoteric. I like it. Great colors and textures. God, where did you get those teeth?
