Soap bubble, magnified approximately 3 times.

Just 1 frontal softbox (from slightly above the camera), and a few tries as you can imagine, mainly due to the narrow depth of field and manual focus on a very ephemeral subject.

It also just made it to 1x.com, along with a batch of 2 other photos of mine, that's a good week's start :-)

Glad this one did so well. It's totally vibrant and looks like an abstract painting (or The Scream as I mentioned during voting)

- Street photography

etc.

Moreover, I'm well aware that some dislike very much the style of work I do for various reasons, so "excel" is always subjective word. But thanks a lot anyway, I am always very thrilled when my work is appreciated :-)

Whew!

THanks! :D

Congrats on the ribbon and the 1x, Christophe. The colors here are extraordinary. Sort of like a peacock on acid.

Christophe I don't want to sound too mawkish but you are really the only photographer I've seen here on dpchallenge who consistently (and spectacularly) excel across all genres. Congratulations for the nth time! :D

Please try to find one thing that you can't shoot exceptionally well and tell me about it. You don't have to shoot it to prove it to me... just try to find one thing...

I'd be so encouraged.

LOL!

Congrats, Christophe! I'm amazed once again.

Psychedelic!! Fantastic colors and patterns. I know how fidgety soap bubble are - must've been hard work getting to focus on one at such close quarters. My top3. I hope you ribbon.

Very nice. The only decent shot in the challenge, except for "Abstract in C Major." I'd give this the first place, but would crop it differently.
