Hmm... I like this, it's cool. However, it needs some tonal depth. The darkest tones are too light. It's easy to do that, just adjust the levels in photoshop, or your favourite processing software. Even brightness/contrast will do it. If it doesn't look too light to you, it may be your monitor. Check the squares along the bottom of the voting pages to see how many you can distinguish.

challenge met. a fellow icestorm photo (i submitted one, too). are you getting many comments about this being good for the blue challenge? LOL. i have to say i realy like this shot, despite some of its technical short-comings (pixelation, oversharpening?), i just can't quite say how or what it is. hm. i'm also speculating on who you are ... if i'm right, you really are developing your own recognizable style. :) in any case, good work!

added a little later ... i think i like that it looks as if this plant is willing to "stick its head out" above all the rest, despite the threatening dark blue sky in the background. and that it all looks so unreal because of the ice. that's what i like about it :)

The colorization ruinned this one.

An interesting tint and composition. In all honesty it seems like it's missing some "punch" to me, though...

Really neat picture, maybe a tad grainy, but intensely cool anyway. 9 Swash

Nice, dreamy quality. The blue looks a little unreal, like it was manipulated by the hand of man, but the subject compensates. I like it.

This seems a tad bit grainy to me. Might just be my eyes though. Otherwise, I really think this is neat. I like the way it looks like glass. The angle and framing/cropping are good, and the focus seems very nice as well. The color is very nice. Great lighting as well. Definately looks untouched by man. Good luck in the challenge.

Great composition, like the blue cast to the photo, there seems to be a distractingly high level of noise in the photo. I would be interested in what Neat Image or like progs could do to remove it.

Good work, good eye, great colors. WOW. Not crazy for the focus here, but sure a nice shot.

To me this shot looks over exposed and grainy.

I like the subject, and the color of the shot. The composition feels a little "off" for me, feels like there is a little too much sky. The flower does not appear crisp and sharp, and allowing for the possibility that you intended it this way, or that it was unavoidable, (or that it's my monitor!), I think I would have preferred to see a bit more of a sharper focus on the flower. 8

Wow, that almost look slike something out of a scifi flik... The only problem with the picture is the quality. The Jpeg seems too compressed, or the camera just didn't capture it quite right...
