Model: Barbara Wilder

My first underwater shoot. Barbara was EXTRAORDINARY. But the shoot was fraught with problems - namely, my buoyancy! Staying underwater was absurd. I ended up having a second model practically standing on my shoulders to keep me under. And I'm not crazy about the position of the briefcase.

Oh, that and the little issue of my housing failing. Yes. It killed my camera. Killed it dead. It's at the Nikon morgue, where they will attempt to revive it. Lesson learned.

Expecting mostly DNMCs for it not being TRULY pastel. I tried lightening everything to make it more "pastel-y", but it lost the mystery. In any event, it's pastel enough for me, but more importantly, I felt I owed my baby a tribute of some sort for her sacrifice.

Thank you so much, everyone, for your votes, comments, and sympathy! Haven't heard back yet as to whether my baby is salvagable, but for those interested, here are outtakes of the session. The closer to death she was, the more haunting the images. I haven't uploaded everything worth viewing, yet.

Barbra takes the plunge into the (corporate) shark pool. So many amazing things, like how did she keep her shoes on...
Oh the sacrificial camera, which I hope is temporary.

I love this amazing shot. It should have placed much higher. It makes me sick to think you ruined your camera on this shoot.

Talk about jumping in the deep end;) Terrific work and it's pastel-ly. Bummer about the 700, you might have to look into a mini sub or something.

Good stuff, just a mini bit more light on the model and it would have been a cracker for me.

This is great! But I wish she was sharper. It doesn't shout pastel to me either.
