HA! This is my lovely 84-year old mother who graciously posed for this shot. We laughed until we cried!

Sadly, my 92 year-old mother passed away 3-3-2019. She loved my passion for photography, and very graciously accepted my requests for her to be my muse. Godspeed Mama!

Hardly a femme fatal but I like the fact I don't know if she's frightened or angry, nicely shot

Great Over The Topness. Lighting and pose are perfect. Crop's a little tight, but that adds to the humor.

I gave this a 10 and would have given it 11 if I could have. You have one heck of a great model - her expression is frightening - for some reason her age makes her even more frightening because my mind imagines how many victims she slaughtered in her lifetime .. excellent lighting and pping.

that's just a scary face, well the look on her face anyway, great model

Want to see something really scary? Place your hand over the right side of her face.

Noir is usually more subtle than this, but what the hell. Let's have some cookies.

Nice shadow and light work. This looks like it has a little green tint to me, which seems a little odd.

I came away extremely conflicted from this image. On the positive side, perhaps no other shot here (with exception of one) has made me come back to it as many times and stop and think about it. The model is just superb! She did a fantastic job with the facial expression, posture, etc. It just screams Hitchcock to me!!! The lighting is almost great....I just think it's a touch too harsh as the completely washed out areas on her face and forearm indicate. I also like the processing with a slightly greenish tint. However, here is why I'm giving this the score that I am:

1. Technical aspects (not sharp enough, high-key areas are over-exposed...there are also two distracting white spots on the black part of the blouse (either hot pixels or ???)..should have been cloned out. More of the knife shadow in the composition would have been great!

2. As much as I love Hitchcock and horror genre, in my classical definition of Film Noir this just DNMC. I wish it did...and perhaps it's my own film snobbery but I simply cannot vote this higher in a Film Noir challenge.

With better technical aspects this would have been a 7-8 shot from me in this challenge. The way it stands...it's a 6...although part of me really wishes I could score this higher. It's a superb shot on it's own.

She plays her part very well :) (at least - I . hope she plays it)
One small detail on which I'm still hesitating: her right eye in the dark, as it is now, or just slightly visible...
