 HDR of 3 exposures of 5 taken,
not bracketed, but manuall set for exposure and timing to get the light of the light house into each exposure
separate processing for the sky of the darkest exposure (applied sky through layer mask, reduced hue/sat)

separate psd file for final edits:
- topaz mild pop (opacity to 87%)
- topaz color balast (opacity to 45%)
- dodge and burn layer
- brightness/contrast
- curves

preparing for web:
flatten
resize
reduce hue/sat
USM
add black border
save for web

The color in this is phenomenal. The level of detail is out of this world, too... A tiny bit oversharpened in some areas but really, this is superb. I'd say top 10.

Bass Harbor is an awesome place... I have a very similar shot hanging on my wall right next to me. Seems a little over-contrasty to me.

Lovely. I would've cropped out more of the rocks to be able to bring attention to the lighthouse and that great sky.

I vaguely remember seeing the same (or similar) scene before, but in Black & White. With color, there are way too many things in the picture to focus on, all competing for attention. Individually, I love the separated reflection of the lighthouse, the texture on the rocks, and the beautiful color gradient in the sky.

Lovely composition. Editing is a wee bit heavy handed for my taste but I sure would love to be sitting on those rocks unwinding from my day!

this is such a beautiful lighthouse and spot, you've got a lovely sky here as well and a bit of a reflection - all that equals a great photo - good luck
