Josh Kippen on his way to winning the WA state kayak slalom title. Kayak slalom is an Olympic sport in which competitors are on the course alone, racing to achieve the fastest time. Small time penalties apply for each 'gate' touched and large time penalties for each missed. At the highest level races are often won and lost by fractions of a second. This will likely get hammered in voting because it's not a pic of a clock etc, but what the hell.

Shot with my shiny new 300mm/F4.0. RAW file taken to ACDSee Pro and rotated and cropped a little. Desaturated to convert to B&W and then adjustments made to brightness and contrast. Resized, added border, sharpened, saved as JPEG.

Great shot Qiki, i reckon this will do really well, not sure the border was necessary though.

Nice shot Adrian, I like the Black and White conversion, and the look on the guys face.
