A very impressive black-tailed (mule) deer in my neighborhood this morning at 7 AM. Still in velvet stage, this buck has the largest antlers I've ever seen on a muley. 12 points would be near a world record. I think I'm going to say I observed a world record mule deer buck this morning.

Also, he's a smart buck to head into the park. He was standing on the RMNP boundary. Somewhat safer from hunters and poachers when living on Deer Mountain.

There may be a lot of DNMC votes because I'm not showing a "house". But, the wilderness around my home is "my home" more than any roof and walls.

I knew this was yours. I guess for people who know your work it was easy to reconize that this is your front yard... or maybe your playground? (lol). Great image!

A bit bright for me, and some rule of thirds regarding the subject might have raised my score a bit.

Nice deer. I like the colors, it took me a minute to think of what a candelabra is, but the antlers do look like one that would be found in your home.

HA HA Love the title. I just find dear so wonderful. We have them near our house too. With a greenbelt nearby, sometimes they are running across the street at night and you can hear their hooves clopping on the pavement. :)

Awesome shot but not really a good subject for the challenge. Though I am sure this is a typical scene for you in your front yard, it doesn't say "Home" to me.
