The people who don't see this as a good "Time" challenge entry do not have much imagination nor sense of history. Prehistoric man did not have watches and clocks. They did pay attention to the moon and sun horizon events, in addition to solar and lunar eclipses. These astronomical events, in relation to their world, constituted their sense of time and date. They would think a modern wristwatch or clock much less relevant than the important milestones in their lives.

I wish you would just ignore me. Why did you drag me into the Rugman and/or Art's comment? I gave your photo a SIX....your mode average. I made DNMC comments to many images to add some fun to the challenge.

Really, Richard? Every time you enter something that is a stretch for the challenge topic, you insult the voters who don't see things exactly the way you do? Grow up.

By the way, I do think it is a spectacular photo.

...also, I checked the appropriate boxes for you.

No need to call me names. Regarding rugman and kskidmore, I promised a SC member more than a year ago that I would always ignore their comments.

Wow...I've always heard stories of the Great Shoe Horn Mountian but I never ever thought I'd see a photo of it ! Good catch !

Good idea. Moon was not obvious to me at first. Left side drew the attention.

Well the landscape is beautiful, but I don't find the picture very interesting.
Too much grey.

nice shot, doesn't really meet the challenge topic to me, other than capturing a moment

Beautiful image. Perfect timing. Great basic BW PP. Not overly processed as it is basic editing. Natural and as it was. The concept of timing to get a landscape shot seems lost in this challenge. At a guess this is a Hahn.

DNMC more of a landscape than anything, but I kinda get the idea, just really stretching it...
