 I dried these fern fronds on some red plum leaves, and kept them around to take pictures "someday" ...

-Handheld, manual mode
-FL 36mm (35mm EQ) in SuperMacro mode
-RGB Curve
-Blue/Yellow Curve
-Crop to square
-Resize
-USM at 88%/0.8 dia/TH = 5 (applied three times)
-Enlarge canvas to make black border
-SaveAs JPEG at quality 7/10 = 240KB

Very busy, would like to see more emphasis on the spores and throw the rest more out of focus. The image appears to be re-sized incorrectly, there is some tell tale blurriness.
