 My old boarding school, The Armidale School motto - "Without God, Nothing."
A play on the idea that without light, there'd be no sight.

This is my 8 year old's eye filtered through net curtain in his bedroom. Natural light. He battled through 10 odd shots. He did not look at the sun directly. Yes he has extremely long lashes and thus wide screen post box style to fit them in...

I finally took the plunge and did some advance editing...
Sharpened in RAW export to 8 bit TIFF
Topaz Labs DeNoise 4
Converted to BW and played with contrast and sharpening
Selectively brought back the colour in the eye.
Cloned out 2 stray hairs and 1 very small aperture flare imperfection.
Dodged and burnt irritating highlights and dust speck.
Cropped, added border, SFW.

Seems like a "Love It, Hate It" Shot. Wild swings at both ends. Some great comments, thank you! Started levelling off at 6.2xx. Should do well for my BYOAKC Round #2 against young Nicky nB

I also think this should have scored a bit better. Tough challenge but a great shot and PP works well. Still a good score
