 With voters around here, I was very close to not entering a photo of my new son. I have a feeling that this won't do well, and I will end up disappointed (of course I really hope I'm wrong).

He's not really old enough (6 weeks) to try to get in any poses. Right now we are just lucky if he doesn't cry non-stop. It's strange: I expected to be taking a lot more photos than I have thus far. I think we are just trying to survive right now, and as he becomes even more active we will really start to build up a nice photo collection.

By the way, the choice of doing a contest like this as Basic editing is asinine. All portrait challenges should allow local adjustments, especially for the eyes.

He's a beautiful little boy Mike, and your right, there's not much you can do to pose them at that age. It's really hard to be truly objective with photos of your own children and it's a good composition, there's just no wow factor for those with no emotional attachment. Welcome to the joys of parenthood, your life will never be the same, in a good way.
