Thank you all for the great comments. I took a lot of pictures and none of them were what I was looking for. As it got closer to the deadline, this one just sort of kept getting my attention. These were sold a few years back at Radio Shack and Spencers. Called Lightning Storm, they were a white lightning plasma display. This time exposure really surprised me. I didn't realize till then how much really goes on in there.

Wow! What an interesting, abstract-looking photo. How did you do this?

Great effect around the glass--this is a fascinating image

I can understand you off-centering this because of the multitude of comments I see on this site about the rule-of-thirds, but I see no point here. There is no background, hence there is no reason for off-centering, why the pointless black space on the left?. And the subject is too large to fit in any "third" region, therefore it looks like you were drunk and just misqueued. However I do like the subject, whatever it is, and it is nicely focussed, but I really wish it was centered.

This is a very cool picture but I wonder why you didn't turn the camera to portrait, rather than landscape. It would have suited the subject better.

Excellent shot! Can't wait to see how this was done. Only problem I have with this: How does it fit into your occupation? What is this object? (I'm not familiar with electrical work, obviously) From the picture alone, I can't tell what your occupation is. The title is the only thing (for me, anyway) that refers this picture to your occupation. 9

Wonderful picture of plasma. My eye is wandering along the glowing lines.
Only how you positioned it in the frame could be improved. Thumb up
