I did a recon in Denver looking for a street macro shot. Earlier in the week, I had an idea to shoot the sticky gum shot. So while I was in this one area where I liked the sidewalk and background, I shot this , then I passed it by my team members and got a thumbs up with some good advise for the final shot. The gum turned out to be harder to get sticky than I planned, so I only did one take on this. I executed a 3 shot sequence and was happy with the result. The entry image is only one exposure though, processed mainly in Nik Color Efex Pro 4. Love that software! I took some wax paper with me, chewed the gum until most of moisture was gone and then put it on my defrost vent for about 20 minutes heating it up. When it felt sticky to the touch, I did a pre-shot test, and then finally the final shot. I wasn't expecting the leaf to be stuck to the gum though! But maybe it adds a little to shot. I think I chewed a little too much gum too. I only did one take with this because as soon as the gum cooled, which was very quick, it lost all it's stickiness properties. What we do for DPC. |

I tried a similar shot, but couldn't manage to make the gum stick on my shoe AND the pavement. You did quite a good job here |
