Thanks a lot everyone! My night trip to Paris was not in vain :-)

This is of course the famous pyramid of the Musée du Louvre, built in 1988 in the main court. The view is pretty well known, and I quickly thought about it for this challenge.

In order to avoid people on the image, I went there on a week day, around midnight, so that the place was mostly empty. Since the photo is a 64 seconds exposure, people just walking through were not a worry (they were merely visible at all on the photo), but I even managed to get a clear shot without anyone at all (probably due to the fact it was a bit cold that night). I used my tilt-shift lens to keep lines parallel, so that the symmetry would be even more obvious.

Thank you all again for the very kind votes and comments, I'm thrilled!

Very nice Christophe !!!
Did you use any particular WB setting ? (is the deep-warm-hue on the sky due to camera WB or color post processing?)
I feel like not willing to congratulate you for taking dpc ribbons anymore. It has become as nonsense as congratulating a grownup for making straight A's on elementary school tests :-)

ETA: I had not seen your answer to gcoulson about sky color. It is clear enough. Thanks!

A very simple method: just an orange "Photo Filter" in CS5, as well as a good amount of brightness. Raising brightness gave me of course lots of noise, so I used "Topaz Denoise" on it to keep it smooth.

Not wild about the orange sky and the letterbox frame, but the formalism is great and by far the best entry yet.
