A candid of Bella holding a pigeon. Long story short, the pigeon couldn't fly; so, after a lovely man called it coyote bait, I was obligated to bring it home after being assaulted by three crying girls. Long gone now.

Oh how I love the framing with the light and use of negative space here. Perfect example of breaking the rules.

Beautifully intimate portrait of a beautiful young girl.

Truly wonderful Ben, your photos have so much depth, maybe to deep for the majority, keep astounding us. Should've ribboned IMHO.

Interesting placement of the girl. Love how the light has that great shape and yet it does not overpower her at all.

Absolutely terrific, my favourite so far. 10 and I hope it wins, but knowing the DP crowd it probably won't. But i could be wrong hopefully.

Had to look at this one for a while to really appreciate it. Not only do you have strong Symmetry here, you actually used it to bring emphasis to your subject. I think this is my favorite so far.

Sublime light, hard concrete and a touch of innocence, what more can we ask for.

Slightly different take on the challenge, and I really like where you've taken this. Great strong contrast, the total black of the shadow is excellent. I also like that we can still see her face, but that it isn't illuminated, either. Tied for the highest vote I gave.
