A single exposure and ofcourse a basic editing. Keeping it real is the one and only rule in my photography, one should never have to ask himself the question "is this real?". Not saying all digital art is crap, just saying this is how I've chosen to perform photography. This location is in Reykjanes geothermal field in Iceland, the black lava surface by the Kleifarvatn lake is literally boiling. The lonely guy out there is me :-)

Cheers, Skarpi

Alone
From childhood's hour I have not been
As others were; I have not seen
As others saw; I could not bring
My passions from a common spring.
From the same source I have not taken
My sorrow; I could not awaken
My heart to joy at the same tone;
And all I loved, I loved alone.
Then- in my childhood, in the dawn
Of a most stormy life- was drawn
From every depth of good and ill
The mystery which binds me still:
From the torrent, or the fountain,
From the red cliff of the mountain,
From the sun that round me rolled
In its autumn tint of gold,
From the lightning in the sky
As it passed me flying by,
From the thunder and the storm,
And the cloud that took the form
(When the rest of Heaven was blue)
Of a demon in my view.

Thanks, and yes it's pretty surreal to walk on this hot ground. This was shot late sunset/blue hour when all turnes blue, using a Lee filter to darken the sky agains ground, I did some curves, contrast and sharpen in lightroom.

pretty much perfectly awesome. I'm sure in a basic edit challenge this would be tops.

Beautiful scenery, it is an amazing photo. The tones and movements really makes it, especially with the very stoic silhouette in the middle of the elements. Great one, I just love it.
