I had a couple ideas when this came up, all revolving around old/industrial style shots (and I suspect we will see a lot of that). I had take a shot similar to this a few months ago, when there were no weeds in the tracks. There was also a cool cloud cover then, something I wasn't lucky enough to get this time. But I still like how this turned out.

In post processing, I was trying to enhance the industrial feel. Included in that is my first border in a long time. I think the white border adds a bit more of a vintage feeling, so in this case I think it enhances the photo instead of detracting.

Post Processing:
* Combine three exposures in Nik HDR Efex Pro
* Remove dust spot
* Crop
* Topaz B&W Effects to get the washed out colors, grain, and border
* Decrease saturation with higher vibrancy
* Increase orange saturation
* Export as TIFF
* Resize
* Sharpen Edges
* Save as JPEG

I suspect this lost most of the grain effect when you re-sized to 800, which is unfortunate. Interesting composition. The line of smoke stacks seen in perspective nicely balance and complement the rail tracks, providing a diagonal element to an otherwise horizontally divided photo.
