 Thanks everyone for all the great comments. This one turned out better than I even expected.

It took me awhile to figure out the best way to showcase her eyes. I finally decided that all white and cream tones would be nice.
The lighting set-up was:
1 speed light flash with soft box from slightly diagonal to the side and a reflector quite close to the subject diagonally to the other side. I had a flash aimed at the background directly behind her and my speed light flash on camera that I point directly at the ceiling, this seems to add fill light without messing up the other lighting.

The high key was done post processing. Luckily I was able to take it all up a bit brighter using levels without blowing any highlights. The background had to be whitened a bit post processing because my flashes are not strong enough to get it completely white on their own.

I have a good feeling I know who's photo this is but I can't scrape the name off my tongue. I'm afraid that this is my main competition in this challenge and I wish you the best of luck. It's truly a beautiful photo.

There's so many eyes that are supposed to be "defining features" in this challenge. But your picture, because of the limited colors, the eyes really pop out, unlike most eye pictures. Plus it's a pretty picture overall.

The high key, white on white look is very nice for showcasing her eyes -- which are very pretty, indeed. I like the lowered saturation -- very porcelain doll looking. The freckles are charming.

This will probably do very well. Nice focus and sharpness, a pretty girl. Highlights are a bit bright in the background and on the hat for me but it's not lost too much detail so it's Ok. Very nice overall.
