Pretty good finish for a good shot; perhaps, as a straight up portrait, the background squiggly-ness and left side negative space could be erased- for the score to improve, perhaps. But the shot is good, and its your vision, thats what matters.

Thomas the train, ASDA strikes back I suppose :) My boy loves that shirt. Nice portrait, I like the single light lighting. Not sure if that's a problem and didn't try myself, but a piece of foam or cardboard around the flash could have helped reducing spillage of light on your backdrop.

Ok, now I know it's a softbox and a small gobo would have not helped, my bad :)

Very nice portrait of an adorable child. I wish you could have eliminated the shadowy background though, since it takes my eye away from his cute face.

Cute little boy, I really like the lighting on this, it's good that he has catchlights in both eyes. I'm not sure about the composition though; since you can see how wrinkled and sagging the backdrop is, I don't see the point in having the boy off to one side to show that off. A more centred, closer shot of him might have been a better idea with that backdrop, or maybe next time just make sure the material is pulled tightly at all corners to elimate creases as much as possible. A nice shot overall.
