Taken through the window of a plane, from some 10,000ft, looking south all the way to Greece. Thanks Mariuca for the Hokusai connection!

Great image and very deserving of its score. There are so many landscapes on this site it's nice to see such an original one. The grey tones work well too I think, the beauty of this image for me is in its well-defined minimalism.

Very nice, Tome. I'm a total sucker for these types of shots. I love the mountains, but I really love when they are obscured, mysteriously hiding despite their immensity. The textures on these are wonderful, I really enjoy the grooves, ripples, and rumples.

So simple, yet very beautiful. I think I might prefer a touch more contrast in the upper tonal ranges.
