 As Lydia guessed I saw a similar image on pintrest I had it saved on one of my boards as a future photography idea. When the balloon challenge came up I new I had to do a version of it. I wanted to add my own twist so I thought of having all the balloons yellow to represent sunshine and I wanted to have my own unique background, I have been eyeing these cornfields for sometime, waiting for the right time to use them for a photograph. My girls didn't want to have to go far to model for this photo and since this is only a couple of minutes from my house I thought it would be a good time to use this location. Plus the lighting was were I wanted it.

To get the lighting on the balloons and her face was much harder than it seemed. She had to stand slightly farther back from my girl in grey and then hold the balloon even farther behind her so that it wouldn't shadow her face but get lit by the sun. I hoped that it wouldn't be noticeable in the photo. It was a very akward position and it was hurting her arm to hold it there for so long so her face isn't as natural as I would have liked but she did well anyway.

Thanks for all the great comments. I was excited to get a ribbon for this one.

Nice concept. I don't think the setting is working too well. Possibly better in the street?? Or in front of that one house where you took your last balloon shot??
