This shot was taken whilst I was walking along my local canal, I wasn't happy with any of the shots I had taken during the walk as the lighting was so poor. Thankfully I was able to recover the shot in lightroom.
If anyone is interested the house is for sale, only draw back is the garden is small.
Thank you for all the comments they are all appreciated.
First attempt at tilt shift so I couldn't be happier :-0

It took me 99 tries to get a blue!

Congrats on the high score, I think this deserved much higher than 6.9075. It's probably because people the voting were distracted by a certain 7.5549 scoring 'other entry' :-)

I see this is now a Blue. Well done mate! I see the previous blue was DQ'd. I was one of your 9's (I gave the DQ'd blue an 8 so I thought yours was better anyway).

I really must get my camera out again and try to challenge you.

It has texture, and it shows the reflection of the house. It also has a story behind it.

astounded you managed to get anything close to a good shot in the North West Wet during the Christmas period! I didn't even pick up the camera apart from a handful of snapshots in the city centre. Well done on the ribbon Jon.

Lovely tones, that's pretty close to the water, hope it's not tidal.

Looks like a Kinkade painting. great focus.

edit: It was a compliment, based upon the technique in the photo used, even though I admittedly can't stomach Kinkade very much.

Aw, this looks so classical. I really like the scene and the tones. The blur works very nicely here.

Excellent. Reminds me of Storybook Land at Disneyland. Canals lined with perfect models and bonsai trees. The miniature effect is perfect. 10!

By far the best representation of what a good "tilt shift" should look like. It appears the user made an extra effort to separate most of the area to be blurred with great precision. I would have gone all the way by blurring the green area behind the trees on the far left of the image and blend the line between what it appears to be water and the sharp area of the pic.
