they are scale model toys to a very accurate 1:16 scale hence their details,

theres no tilt shift effect i can see? the affect of the 16-35mm lens?

no experience with this on construction site was meant to be road works on the road, hence the tape, if a 6th photo would have been allowed there was a que of traffic inc the low loader with a forklift on and a bin truck the idea being the land rover got impatient and over took the traffic but crashed into the roadworks.

my boy has the models of everything we have in our family construction firm apart from the crane which we hire in, and the fire engines of course.

i had men in it origianlly but removed them

original idea

I just realized that this was your shot, Giles! I absolutely loved it, gave it a 10 in voting and am so happy to see that you ribboned with it. Great feeling, your first ribbon and it's a nice shiny blue. Huge congrats! :-)

The 'fake look' via topaz making toys look like real life vehicles works well. And the remnant shallow DOF because of the close range to subject gives it a 'tilt-shift' effect thrown in also.

I'll bet it's based on a real story that actually took place on a construction site?

The 'cartoon effect' was probably the only direction to go in from images of toys. In the CGI film Ice Age 1, to portray the mammoth's 'flash-back' memory, they had to animate crude cave wall paintings. I think you'd done a similar thing here.

well i was going to strip the whole kitchen/dinning room out, put then remembered it was toy story like the film it takes place in the house where these toys live, and these toys live piled up in the kitchen on the toy box so i stood the sofa up and parked a road on the floor and left them in so it wasnt to clinical and studio esq.

I like this very much but on my screen it is way too light and washed out, needs more contrast.
On second viewing and now think higher of it than at first.Bumped up.

I think this not allowed in Advanced Editing, would be OK in Expert - apparently I did not read the description!
