My right hand, shot handheld by my left hand. Natural window light, fill flash, black bg. Post processing used: crop, greyscale, curves, tritones (using shades of black, sepia, and grey), 20% gaussian blur layer.

Cliche. Look at some of the other entries. Is this a trend? Fill flash or lighting shadow on finger distracts.

Love the title. I like the idea, but there's something missing--can't think of anything, but it's lacking something! Sorry I can't help.

IMO you can improve the picture by giving more space on the top.. that is your hand should only occupyt the corner part and may be upto maximum of 40% in the height of the total photo.
You can try changing the canvas size with background as black and see the effect.
